Starting today this blog will be the primary web presence for C.N.P. Records and to kick it off we're going to have a sale of some of our classic CD and vinyl releases. LPs are $6 postpaid, CDs are $5 ppd, and 7 inch records are $3 ppd. We're practically giving this shit away!!! Plus I need room in my closet for upcoming releases...there will be some sick releases on C.N.P. and friend's labels this summer and fall from MUTWAWA, SUPPRESSION, and BERMUDA TRIANGLES!!! "KILLER WORKOUT MIX" compilation CD cnpr-16 (2008) This is one of our proudest releases that no one's heard...it includes an unreleased (and one of my favorite of hers) TICKLEY FEATHER track, BERMUDA TRIANGLES, HALLELUJAH!, DAMNED HUMAN RACE, THE YES SIRS, HO-AX, NARWHALZ, LA MERE VIPERE, AMOEBA MEN, SHAMS, BIG EATS, MAGIC JEWELS, OPENING FLOWER HAPPY BIRD, LEPER COLONY, ADULT MOAN, MOTHER FALCON, YOKO BONER, D.J. Still available digitally here TICKLEY FEATHER/ BERMUDA TRIANGLES split 7 inch cnpr-12 (2007) It was a fine moment indeed, an honor if you will, to release this one...we're big Tickley Feather fans around here and to have her on C.N.P. wax? fuck yeah!!! What you get here is TFs mastery of weirdo, outsider-pop and BTs as a solo creep in a bedroom...

THE YES SIRS "Dos Locos" LP cnpr-10 (2006) The duo of Adam Perry (P.C.P. Roadblock/ Enemy Soil) and Jason Hodges (BTs/ Suppression/ MUTWAWA) started here in Richmond, VA where some of this was recorded and ended as "through the U.S. Postal Service" bi-coastal collaborations. Which is how the rest of these songs were documented. Stand-up drum kit/ murder-drums meets junk electronics and percussion with paranoiac vocal yelps and commands....red vinyl and the covers were screen-printed on black DJ style sleeves.

THE AMOEBA MEN "Enter:" 7 inch cnpr-6 (2004) 1st recorded document of this now defunct Richmond 3-piece. 3 tracks: the dance-throb post-punk of 'Shit-Tubes,' the Six Finger Satellite worship of 'Clone,' and the bizarre noise-country of 'Lonesome Buckaroo.' An odd piece o' wax...

RECTAL PUS- tracks from split tape with L.O.C. (1993)

Released in 1993 on CHAOTIC NOISE PRODUCTIONS (cnp-4) and VOMIT HALO RECORDS (VH-10) this tape contained 80 Rectal Pus tracks. Rectal Pus were me (Jason Hodges), Davey Austin, and Bill Mahone from the original Suppression line-up along with our friends Scotty Pus, Jamie Broughman, and Jason Ayers. Our friend Bill Porter eventually joined the band but he's not on this one. We were the premiere C.N.P. band!!! This stuff is very chaotic, punk influenced noise-core with completely absurd, toilet humor/ subject matter complete with ridiculous 80s movie sound-bites scattered throughout. It takes a certain kind of human to enjoy this, and that human may very well not exist. There is a hilarious "Eye Of The Tiger" cover at about 21 minutes in. It's completely horrible, but hilarious nonetheless. Which is basically the motif of this material in general, but we had a lot of fun making this!!! The cover art was drawn by Chris Gargle of L.O.C. (Lord Of Cheese) and unfortunately I don't have a digital copy of his tracks to include on this post. If anyone has them please contact me!!! Incidentally, Chris and I played together 3 years later in JAPANESE TORTURE COMEDY HOUR at a show in Boston opening for MERZBOW and MASONNA, there's a cool WFMU article about the subsequent live- cassette box-set release from this show, complete with mp3s, here!!!!!

SUPPRESSION "Burnt Out Receptacles" 7 inch (2001)

Released in 2001, this was the first document of the present 2-piece line-up of Suppression. We recorded this with Mark Miley at GLASS HAND and had a blast making this one. Annie Sachs of TICKLEY FEATHER appears on this for the sultry intro, which she felt awkward doing and it was pretty hilarious recording that because we had her do multiple takes. Thanks again Annie!!! We also got a lot of laughs whilst taking these ridiculous photos of ourselves. Good times...

"...THROUGH THE CRACKS" MIX Vol. 1

I recently came across, on my computer, a good number of tracks from my friends and I that have fallen through the cracks so to speak. Some are completely unreleased, some were on demos and/ or limited run releases, and some I really felt were too silly and/ or terrible to be released (i.e. the "Yo! C.N.P. Raps" tracks 11-15, you be the judge). So I'm going to start giving these songs away in these mixes. Enjoy!!!
